On Friday, the ACC revealed the 2025 conference opener of all 17 teams, and it includes BC’s match-ups against both Stanford and Cal. These two Northern California schools are new members of the ACC as of 2024, and now this is the first time their football teams are playing against Boston College as a member of the conference.

On Saturday September 13th, BC will travel to Palo Alto to face off against the Stanford Cardinal. Stanford went 3-9 last season and hasn’t finished above .500 since 2020. The Eagles and the Cardinal last faced off in a series in 2001 (A Stanford win in Palo Alto) & 2002 (A BC win in Chestnut Hill).
Then on Saturday September 27th, Alumni Stadium will play host to the Cal Golden Bears for the second time in its history and the first time since 1986. Cal also went 6-7 last season with a bowl game loss and they have gone bowling each of the past two years under head coach Justin Wilcox.
