Over the two days, Jeff Hafley and the rest of the Boston College football staff has been hard at work on the recruiting trail to make up for some lost ground. After a few players decommitted from the program following the finish f the regular season, BC has earned three new commitments:
Pape Abdoulaye Sy, OL
Alhamdulillah, first and foremost, praise be to God. Thank to my family specifically my mother for all the sacrifice she did for me. I am beyond blessed to announce my commitment to @BCFootball can’t wait to get there let’s go eagles @NFLAcademy @KrisDurham16 @ChrisSnee76 pic.twitter.com/9VhtoI5jbW

Abdoulaye Sy is a native of Senegal and comes to BC from the NFL Academy in London. He is not rated on any major recruiting website, so it’s tough to tell how big of a pickup this is, but his physical profile certainly seems promising at 6’7” and 301 lbs.
Jadon Lafontant, OL
After evaluating the recent changes at the University of Kentucky as well as talking with my coaches & my family, I have made the difficult decision to flip my commitment to Boston College!! Go Eagles!! @Coach_Wayne55@Coach_Applebaum@Coach_JDiBiaso @CoachJeffHafley pic.twitter.com/X1z2PZs64a

Lafontant is another OL pickup for the Eagles, this one coming locally from Greenwich, CT. Lafontant is a 3-star prospect who plays on the interior offensive line and had offers from Kentucky, Pitt, Duke, Syracuse, and others. Hafley’s staff is clearly prioritizing OL depth as they prepare to lose star guard Christian Mahogany and look to avoid a depleted position group like they faced in 2022.
Bryquice Brown, CB
Glad to be heading home let’s get to work!!

Brown is a transfer commit from Georgia State and will look to use his one remaining year of eligibility at Boston College. Originally from Dorchester, Brown came into college as a 3-star and had a respectable career at Georgia State, playing in 42 games while nabbing 5 INTs, and even leading the Sun Belt in passes defended in 2021. He earned preseason All-Sun Belt honors last season, but only played 9 games and didn’t quite meet those lofty expectations. He will come back home to fill a position of need at BC in a secondary that is desperately looking for leadership after the departure of veteran CB Elijah Jones.
