Nebraska finished the regular season 6-6 under second year head coach Matt Rhule. This was another step in the right direction for the Cornhuskers who have not gone bowling since 2016. The season started off on a positive note with an early win over Colorado. But B1G conference play took a toll, and they went 1-5 to end the season. We’ll dive more into the Nebraska squad over the coming weeks.
Bundle up folks, if history is any precedent, you will need every layer and warmer you can get your hands on. Sorry, I said I’d ignore the past but it’s impossible. We’ve been here before. Eight wins on the horizon and a trip to Yankee Stadium staring us in the face – only to be met with heartbreak. Seriously, is it possible to move this game to Citi Field? Let’s hope Billy O can break the curse. These two teams have not matched up before.
In all seriousness, it’s been turbulent at times this season, but O’Brien and this football team had a November to remember. Rallying around Grayson James, the Eagles rattled off three wins out of four to clear bowl eligibility. This is a well deserved reward for the resolve this team showed.
Let’s get #8. Go BC.
