Boston College had its Pro Day this Monday at Fish Field House for all the Eagle hopefuls (and a few nearby prospects) looking to continue playing at the next level. Participants had a chance to work out and run some drills in their comfortable home-court environments in front of pro personnel from all 32 NFL teams.
A total of 13 Eagles were able to participate in the Pro Day. The highest rated prospects are of course defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku, a projected first round pick and offensive tackle and likely Day 2 pick Ozzy Trapilo. Center Drew Kendall and defensive tackle Cam Horsley will get another look after some fine outings at other events in this Draft season.
But this event is bigger for a number of other Boston College alum. Linebacker Kam Arnold, defensive backs Bryquice Brown and Khari Johnson, defensive end Neto Okpala, tight end Kamari Morales, wide receiver Dino Tomlin, offensive linemen Jack Conley, and running backs Treshaun Ward and Kye Robichaux all get to shine under the spotlight.
It’s a big win for all of these guys with O’Brien’s connection with many folks in the pros. Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel spoke to the team this morning as well.
Big scouting contingent at @BCFootball Pro Day today. All 32 NFL teams here to see Ozzy Trapilo, Cam Horsley, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Drew Kendall and a crew of others. Mike Vrabel, Doug Marrone and Chris Lindstrom among the boldfaced names here. pic.twitter.com/JWJRvJ81M9

Former Eagles Taji Johnson (Buffalo) and Jirhe Love, and some other local prospects Cole Birdow (Merrimack), Salvatore Lupoli Jr. (Bentley), and Dylan Poirier (UNH) are also working out.
Our friends over at the New England Football Journal documented some interviews with the top BC prospects and O’Brien.

After 7 weeks of lifting and conditioning, the team is now well underway in the spring session. Practices run for a few more weeks ending April 12th with three practices a week. As Coach O’Brien announced earlier, there will be no Spring Game this year. Instead, Jay McGillis will be honored annually on BC’s Senior Day game and BC will take the extra practice day.
O’Brien outlined three goals for the spring season
- Stay healthy
- Improve fundamentals
- Come together as a team
One fun nugget from spring practices thus far — per AJ Black, new punter Andy Quinn has been booming punts.
