On Thursday, it was reported that Boston College sophomore goaltender Jacob Fowler has signed an entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens. He was drafted 69th overall by Montreal in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Can confirm in conjunction with @MurphysLaw74 that #GoHabsGo prospect Jacob Fowler has signed his ELC for the 25-26 season.
Will join Laval on an ATO.
Expect an announcement shortly.@TheRGMedia

Fowler has been a rock solid presence in net for the Eagles these past two seasons. He has been a key leader for a team that finished both 2024 and 2025 as the #1 team in the nation in the Pairwise rankings, boasting the #4 and #2 defense in the nation in each of those years, respectively. Fowler was a finalist last season for the Mike Richter Award, given to the nation’s top goaltender, and is expected to be a finalist yet again this season. All in all, in just two seasons, Jacob Fowler became a fan favorite player and he will be sorely missed between the pipes for Boston College.
Good luck in the pros, Fowls!
