Name: Dean Letourneau
Position: Forward
Year: Freshman
Number: 20
Height: 6-7
Hometown: Arnprior, Ontario
Prior to BC: Letourneau spent the past four years playing for St. Andrews College, and scored 127 points in 56 games played during the 2023-24 season. He also wore the “A” his last two years at St. Andrew’s, and was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
Season Outlook: It’ll be interesting to see how quickly Letourneau adjusts to college hockey, since prep school hockey is very different from the NCAA-level — especially since his original plan was to play in the USHL for a year between St. Andrews and BC. Given his scoring touch and skating prowess, though, it’s likely that his adjustment period won’t be long at all and he’ll become a key piece of the Eagles quickly. As a center, he could be anchoring the second or third line, but we’ll have to see how the lineup shakes out.
Fun Fact: Letourneau played lacrosse and basketball in addition to hockey in high school.
