Name: Andre Gasseau
Position: Forward
Year: Junior
Number: 24
Height: 6-4
Hometown: Garden Grove, CA
Last Season: Gasseau was consistently on the Eagles’ top line last season, playing alongside Oskar Jellvik and Cutter Gauthier. He tallied 29 points in 40 games, with 12 goals and 17 assists, good for seventh on the team overall. He scored his first goal in the season opener against Quinnipiac, and had eight multi-point games throughout the year.
Season Outlook: Gasseau will likely still be in the Eagles’ top six this upcoming season. With his scoring talent and his experience as a junior, he’ll likely be looked at to provide more offense throughout the lineup — especially as the freshmen forwards settle into college-level play. With sophomores Gabe Perreault and Ryan Leonard and incoming freshman James Hagens maybe slated to be a top line based on pure speculation, it’s possible that Gasseau starts the season on the second line, but that remains to be seen.
Fun Fact: Gasseau has trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai since he was thirteen years old.
