Name: Gabe Perreault
Position: Forward
Year: Sophomore
Number: 19
Height: 5-11
Hometown: Hinsdale, IL
Drafted: #23 overall in 2023 by the New York Rangers
Last Season: When Perreault was on the ice for BC, his presence was know. And when he was injured, his absence was felt. Perreault is a phenomenal playmaker, and he was second on the team last year with 41 assists. He averaged 1.7 points per game, ending the year with 60 points in 36 games.
Season Outlook: Perreault is expected to play on the top line with his longtime linemate Ryan Leonard and incoming freshman superstar James Hagens. Fans should expect to see him putting up even bigger numbers this season, and he will likely see significant playing time on power plays. Perreault doesn’t always get the buzz that his former linemate Will Smith and current linemate Leonard do, but he should. He’s the type of player that makes everyone on his team better when he’s on the ice with them, and now that he’s got a full year of college experience and strength and conditioning, his presence on the ice is only going to increase.
Fun Fact: Perreault’s father played 14 seasons in the NHL.
