The Boston College men’s hockey team has released their schedule for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. The Eagles are coming off a season that ended with a loss to Denver in the national championship game and they will again be among the pre-season favorites when October comes around.

BC will start their season with two games at Michigan State after they hosted the Spartans twice last year. This will be a big test early on for the Eagles, as Michigan State finished with a 25-10-3 record last year and made a run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The home opener will be the following weekend, when BC hosts AIC on October 18. The Eagles went 16-2-0 on home ice last season and will be looking to get off to a hot start at Conte Forum this year as well.
Some other standouts from the schedule obviously include the January 24 and 25 home-and-home series against rival BU, the Beanpot opener against Northeastern, and an end of season stretch that will only see the Eagles playing on their home ice three times in their final 10 regular season games.
Also of note is the fact that this will be the second straight season where it doesn’t look like BC will be playing any games during the winter break. The Eagles will likely be sending a lot of their players to the World Juniors again, so it’s good to know that they won’t be playing any of these games shorthanded.
There are plenty of exciting games on this year’s schedule and we’ll hopefully be watching another very strong BC team pushing for some trophies. What else stands out as an exciting part of the schedule and what games are you most looking forward to?
