The Boston College men’s hockey team defeated Northeastern 3-1 tonight to end the weekend on a high note.
The Huskies scored first again tonight, getting one past Jacob Fowler with just under 4 minutes to go in the first despite the Eagles outshooting them.
The Huskies took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, but with just over 14 minutes to go in the second Gabe Perrault scored on the power play to tie the game up. That 1-1 score held through 2, with BC leading 29-20 in shots on goal.
With just over 2 minute into the third period, Will Smith scored on a great play from his whole line and Aram Minnetian to give BC a 2-1 lead. With 7:14 to go in the third period, Lukas Gustafsson increased that lead to 3-1 with a beauty of a goal.
The Eagles held onto that lead for the remainder of the game, and took home a 3-1 victory to salvage the weekend.
