The Eagles picked up a big road win tonight, defeating St. Cloud State 4-1 in the first of a 2 game series.
The game was pretty evenly matched until late in the first, when Will Vote scored to make it 1-0 BC. The Eagles increased their lead to 2-9 with a power play goal from Gabe Perreault in the second period, but St. Cloud cut the lead back to 1 shortly after on a bad defensive play from BC.
With 5:25 to go in the second the Huskies almost tied the game up at 2, but it was called off for goalie interference. As the second period wound down, BC played a fantastic penalty kill which resulted in a shorthanded goal from Teddy Stiga to make it 3-1 Eags.
It was a slower third period, but Perreault scored an empty netter after St. Cloud pulled their goalie to put BC up 4-1 for a final score.
