Gentry Shamburger was the hero of the game tonight, scoring the game winner in BC’s 4-2 comeback win over UNH.
The teams went into the second period tied at 0, with both teams getting a couple good chances in the first but neither managing to convert.
UNH scored first in the second period, taking advantage of a BC turnover, but BC really dominated in scoring chances and late in the period Gabe Perreault scored a shorthanded goal to tie things up at 1.
UNH took back the lead early in the third period, only for Will Vote to immediately score to tie the game back up at 2. Just a few minutes later, Gentry Shamburger took advantage of a wide open net to give the Eags their first lead of the game. Mike Posma followed that up with an insurance goal, giving BC a 4-2 lead. UNH pulled the goalie with just over 2 minutes remaining, but they weren’t able to get anything past Jacob Fowler and the game ended with a 4-2 BC victory.
