The Boston College men’s hockey team fell to Providence by a score of 4-3 tonight, but still takes the season series 2-1.
The game started in a similar fashion as last night’s BC blowout win, as Oskar Jellvik gave BC a 1-0 lead that held into the first intermission.
The Friars tied things up on the power play with 1:11 to go in the second period, but Will Smith scored seconds later to give BC a 2-1 lead heading into the third period.
The Friars tied the game at 2 early in the third, only for Gabe Perrault to put BC back up 3-2 on a power play goal. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Friars went on to score a pair of unanswered goals to take a 4-3 victory in this one. The Friars did dominate in shots throughout the game as well.
Despite the loss, BC still will end the regular season with a 2-1 series lead over Providence.
