The 17-year-old is a top prospect in the country who is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft and is expected to arrive on the Heights in the fall of 2025 or later. Moore played 50 games for the U.S. National U17 Team this past season, racking up 23 goals and 20 assists. Back in the fall, the New York Times ranked Moore as the 19th overall prospect in his class, behind fellow BC commit James Hagens at #1.
Boston College head coach Greg Brown has made high-end recruiting a top priority in his short tenure, reeling in prospects (with some help from the previous regime) such as Will Smith, Ryan Leonard, Gabe Perreault, and James Hagens to bolster the BC offense. And it’s already paying off, as the huge 2023 recruiting class boosted the Eagles last season to its first national championship game appearance since 2012. Moore should be another important piece that will keep Boston College competitive nationally in the coming years.
Welcome to the Heights, William!
