PREVIEW:
Well, it seemed like this matchup was bound to happen. For the third time this season, the Eagles will take on the Terriers — and for the first time this year, there’s a trophy on the line. The last time these two teams met up in January, the Eagles came away with the sweep; winning 6-2 at Agganis Arena before winning 2-0 at Conte Forum.
On offense, the Hutson brothers lead the Terriers, with 33 points and 27 points. Quinn Hutson and Cole Eiserman lead the group in goals, with 16 and 15 goals scored. In net, it seems that midseason addition Mikhail Yegorov has taken the starting position from senior Mathieu Caron, starting in the Terriers’ last four games and going 2-2-0 over that span. Yegorov has a .940 save percentage in four games, while Caron has a .898 in 20. Of course, things can always change before Monday, but it’s likely the Eagles will be facing Yegorov in net.
