The Eagles will look to stay undefeated at home this weekend as they take on Western Michigan in BC’s only game of the week. The Eagles are 2-1, having split a series with a talented Michigan State team. Western Michigan is 3-0 with wins against Ferris State and Bowling Green. Both teams have exhibition wins against the USNTDP, with the Broncos picking up a 4-1 to start their season and BC winning 8-4 last Saturday.
Players to watch on Western Michigan include Zach Nehring, who has 3 goals and 2 assists in 3 games so far, and defenseman Brian Kramer who has 2 assists and 6 blocked shots. On BC’s end, Jacob Fowler is obviously going to be a decision maker in the game as he has shutouts in both of his wins so far this season, but did allow 4 goals in BC’s loss to MSU. Offensively, the BC players to watch are Will Vote, who leads the team with 3 goals, and Gabe Perrault who has a team leading 5 points. Teddy Stiga is also a player to watch, since he scored his first goals of the season against the USNTDP on Saturday and could be poised for a hot streak.
