Incoming Boston College Eagle Dean Letourneau has been drafted in the first round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, going to the Boston Bruins with the 25th pick. Letourneau is a 6’7 center from Ontario who has spent the past 2 seasons at St Andrews, where he led the team in points and goals this past season.
Letourneau is known for his size, but is also known for being a smoother and faster skater than one might expect from a 6’7 teenager. He has made huge offensive strides this season, and will bring a good offensive boost to an already offensively strong BC team,
He joins Andre Gasseau and Oskar Jellvik as Bruins prospects on the Boston College roster. The Bruins also have a number of former Eagles currently in their system: Patrick Brown and Marc McLaughlin both saw playing time in the NHL and AHL this season, while Trevor Kuntar spent the year in Providence.
Congrats to the newest Bruin and future Eagle!
