The boys were buzzing over in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine this weekend. First, the defensive lineman took the stage on Thursday, which meant Donovan Ezeiruaku and Cam Horsley were up first followed by Ozzy Trapilo and Drew Kendall on Sunday.
A few drills from the defensive duo:
Teach Tape from Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku.
The “pad” level, efficiency in no wasted motion, knowing he’s practiced this a million times….

and Horsley showing off some solid movement and strength.

Neither ran the 40, but did participate in a number of other drills. Ezeiruaku ran 6.94 in the 3-cone drill and 4.19 in the shuttle. Both times were the best among the smaller group of DL that ran. He put up 22 reps up on the bench as well, a strong showing given his 34’ arms. Some additional metrics for him include a 35.5” vertical (very good) and 9’11” on the broad (solid). The Athletic’s Dane Brugler lauded his efforts and remarked that he was checking the boxes of a first round pick. Horsley registered a 31.5” vertical and 9’0” broad jump. Horsley received a combine score of 63 by NFL.com, 29th among DTs in what is considered a deep year for the position.
A few clips of the two at the mic as well —
Couldn’t have been more impressed with ED Donovan Ezeiruaku during his podium session. Great clip here of him breaking down the “why” of a ghost pass rush move
Said his mentality is what separates him in a great edge rush class — I believe it pic.twitter.com/UExo4dIYDB

Here’s another short clip of Donovan speaking on playing the run and pass. In terms of team meetings, Horlsey was reported to have met with the Cowboys, while Ezeiruaku confirmed he met with the Bucs.
On to the offensive lineman Trapilo had solid measurements across the board. He ran 5.21, a 4.7 in the shuttle, and 7.71 in the 3-cone. Kendall showed off a bit more speed with a 5.05 in the 40 and a 7.56 in the three cone, the fourth best of the offensive line group, three spots above his teammate.

And here’s another drill for Ozzy and a bonus Drew if so inclined. While Trapilo is projected in the Day 2 range, Kendall really impressed among iOL guys with a 72 combine score, 4th among centers.
Adding in a nice moment from Ozzy on his old teammate and now Detroit Lion Christian
O’Brien recently mentioned on his podcast with Jon Meterparel that while he hasn’t been in touch with these four recently, the Rams offensive line coach did call him up the other day and tell him how highly regarded BC players are in the league because of their dependability, locker room presence, and toughness.
Next up will be Boston College’s Pro Day later this month. The official date has yet to be announced, but this will be where Jack Conley, Kye Robichaux, Neto Okpala, and Dino Tomlin among others will have a chance to have a final showcase. We are just over a month away from the Draft at the end of April in Green Bay. With Hafley at home there, Vrabel with the Patriots, Tomlin’s Steelers, and O’Brien himself, teams will really be able to know everything about our guys to get a leg up.
