Boston College looks to continue their win streak as they return from exams to take on Lehigh at home on Thursday night.
Who: Lehigh (2-7) vs. Boston College Eagles (8-3)
When: Thursday, December 21st at 6 pm EST
Where: Conte Forum, Chestnut Hill, MA
How to Watch: The game will be broadcast on ACCNX/ESPN+
Lehigh travels to Chestnut Hill to take on the Eagles after a tough start to the season, winning just 2 of their first 9 games. Despite the poor start, Lehigh’s back court has held their own, so far. Keith Higgins, Jr. is averaging north of 17 points per game and Tyler Whitney-Sidney is averaging just shy of 14 points per contest. Whitney-Sidney is from Somerville, Mass and finished his Senior year of high school ranked the number 1 point guard in the state, so this will be a homecoming and a revenge game for the Junior guard. This is always a weird part of the schedule for Power 5 teams. Teams typically don’t practice with the same intensity during exam week, so energy can be lacking in the first game after a long break. If the Eagles play with the same intensity they played with against Central Connecticut and Holy Cross, the Eagles should be able to handle the Mountain Hawks. Look for Boston College to pound the ball inside and take advantage of their height against the smaller forwards from Lehigh. Post will be a focal point in the Boston College offense per usual.
Prediction: Boston College 86 — Lehigh 57
