
The Boston College men’s basketball team will close out their games for the month of February on Wednesday against Stanford. The Eagles have won two games in a row but are 4-12 in ACC play and appear unlikely to make the ACC Tournament.

Stanford has put together a solid record in its first year in the ACC. With a 9-7 conference record, the Cardinal are 7th in the league with wins over North Carolina and Florida State. Over the weekend, they notched their 17th win of the season by beating Cal, 66-61.
Stanford is led by a 7’1” senior from France, Maxime Raynaud, who has spent his entire collegiate career with the Cardinal. He is currently second in the ACC in scoring (19.9 points per game) and first in rebounding (11.2 boards per game). He’s shooting 46.3% from the field, 78.2% from the free throw line, and is averaging more than one block per game.
Oziyah Sellers, a USC transfer, and Jaylen Blakes, a Duke transfer, are the only other Cardinal players averaging double-digit points. Sellers is a 6’5 guard putting up 13.9 points on 46.2% shooting. Blakes, also a guard, averages 13.8 points and leads the team in assists with 4.8 per game. As a team, Stanford averages 74.3 points per game and 43.4% from the field, which is 16th in the ACC.
