HUGE!!!!
On Wednesday evening, Boston College forward Ryan Leonard announced in conjunction with the Washington Capitals that he plans to play another season at Boston College, instead of turning pro to the NHL this year.

What amazing news for the BC program! Leonard was a vital part of the Boston College men’s hockey team this season on their run to a Hockey East championship and as national runners-up in the NCAA tournament. He set a program record for goals scored by a freshman (31), finished third in the nation in goals scored and fourth in total points.
Leonard absolutely looked ready to turn pro this year, with his goal-scoring ability clearly on display alongside his tenacious defense and playmaking and physicality up and down the ice. To get him back for another season is a huge coup for Boston College, who will hope to also keep his linemates Will Smith and Gabe Perreault around as well. With incoming freshmen James Hagens, the projected #1 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, and his brother Michael, who is a great defenseman prospect himself, the Eagles sure look ready to fight for a title once again in 2025.
