Castellanos’s injury that kept him out of Boston College’s exciting win over Western Kentucky was never revealed, but it apparently wasn’t serious enough to keep him out for multiple weeks.
BC managed to win without their star dual-threat QB against the Hilltoppers at home this past weekend, but it was a very close win that required a 14-point comeback in the 4th quarter. The Eagles will very much need Castellanos back for conference play to lead this dynamic rushing offense, of which he is the centerpiece rushing threat.
Their opponent on Saturday will the the Virginia Cavaliers, a 3-1 squad that BC barely beat last season at home thanks to a 4th quarter field goal. Now the Eagles will be on the road to defend their 4-1 record, a terrific start that has exceeded most fans’ expectations for year 1 of the Bill O’Brien era.
