The NFL’s trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and teams are still undergoing in-house evaluations to determine whether they plan on being sellers or buyers by November 5. Oddly enough, the New England Patriots are in a weird position where it should be a combination of both.
The future of the franchise appears to be in good shape with rookie Drake Maye under center at quarterback. However, the team still needs to put the right parts around him to be successful, while simultaneously cleaning out the broken parts that don’t work.
The offensive line is obviously a prime spot for upgrades in New England, but wide receiver is also a trouble spot that needs serious improvements. They need a dominant outside corner to take the top off opposing defenses (doesn’t everybody?).
