The New England Patriots lost a game they could have won because their offense couldn’t get it done. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before.
With another loss in Sunday’s Week 5 meeting with the Miami Dolphins, the Patriots fell to 1-4 on the season with the team seemingly lacking any offensive hope with the current grouping. Although the Patriots only allowed 15 points, they scored just 10 points in the game on offense.
Their early lead was slowly chipped away by the Dolphins’ stagnant offense. The Patriots also couldn’t get out of their own way considering they had 11 penalties for 99 yards. One of those penalties was a super costly one committed by Hunter Henry on a potential game-winning drive, taking them out of touchdown range.
As we do each week, we’re going to take a look at the positives, and it starts with our game balls for the players who individually had good games to keep the team in it.
