The New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, splitting the regular season series with a 25-22 upset victory.
The Patriots were looking to prove coach Jerod Mayo wrong (and rightfully so) for calling out the team for playing soft. Although they still struggled at times, they ultimately got the win and played a tough game against a division rival.
Rookie quarterback Drake Maye left the game after three series with a concussion, but veteran backup Jacoby Brissett stepped up and kept the train on the tracks. Brissett led the offense on a game-winning drive to send the Jets packing with their sixth loss of the season.
