New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick made some waves this morning by once again refusing to name his starting quarterback for this weekend. But judging by what Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe said, it might just be because he hasn’t picked one.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Zappe was asked by reporters if he knows who the starting quarterback will be against the New York Giants this weekend. If we’re to believe him, he doesn’t.
“No,” Zappe replied bluntly.
The options for the Patriots are Zappe, incumbent quarterback Mac Jones, and preseason Malik Cunningham. None of them have distinguished themselves in such a way as to really earn the loyalty of the coaching staff, let alone Belichick.
Question: Do you guys know who is starting?

The Patriots face a can’t-lose game against the New York Giants this Sunday. A loss would be completely demoralizing and likely continue what has been downward spiral of a season.
This game will likely decide the fate of pretty much every quarterback on the Patriots’ roster.
