New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez made Bill Belichick’s All-Belichick team for the 2024 season.
Belichick revealed his entire roster in a social media post on Valentine’s Day.
The Oregon product was the final first-round draft pick by the legendary coach. He recorded 59 tackles, two interceptions and 11 pass deflections in a year where he was recognized with his first All-Pro nod. The standout corner was also fifth in AP voting for the Comeback Player of the Year award.
“On Valentine’s Day there is usually a lot of love in the air,” Belichick posted. “30 years ago today, there was not a lot of love in Cleveland when Art Modell decided to move the team and leave me behind.
“I am not sure if anyone then would’ve cared about my All-Belichick Team. I’m not sure if anyone even cares now. But here is it. Thank you Michael Lombardi for helping me curate this list.”
Gonzalez certainly saw his stock rise as a playmaker this year.
He has quickly developed into one of the best corners in the league with more room still left to improve. The arrival of coach Mike Vrabel and a more experienced coaching staff could take Gonzalez’s game to new heights.
