During the 2023 offseason, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was briefly linked to the Patriots. Obviously, a deal never materialized.
While on “The Greg Hill Show” this Tuesday morning, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked about the offseason rumors involving the soon-to-be two-time MVP.
Belichick acknowledged there were “a lot of moving parts” when it came to Jackson’s situation before talking his way out of that conversation.

I mean, there’s a lot of players out there that were available. They’re always available during the offseason. We talked to some of the players, some of the agents and all that. But those are all … those conversations are on a whole other level. So, stick to the guys that are here.”

Teams around the league had their chance to pursue Jackson. None of them were close to pulling off a deal.
To be fair though, it never really felt like the Ravens would let Jackson go. They know how valuable he is to their franchise, and we’re seeing that on full display this season.
