Mac Jones hasn’t played since his Week 12 benching vs. the Giants but Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien still believes the QB’s future is bright.
Asked about Jones on Tuesday, O’Brien explained that he doesn’t think this is the end for the former first-round pick.
“I feel good about Mac Jones. I really do,” O’Brien said, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “I think Mac Jones is a smart guy. He’s a very hard worker. He’s really done a good job in this situation here of being a good teammate. … Look, these are things that happen in the course of a lot of careers. You have some ups and downs. He’s approached it the right way. I believe in Mac. I think Mac is going to be just fine.”

Jones once looked like he may be Tom Brady’s successor in New England. But over the last two years things have clearly gone wrong between he and the team.
After a 2-9 start, New England is has now split its last four games with Bailey Zappe behind center.
He’ll look to carry more of that momentum into this week’s game vs. Buffalo as the Pats attempt to play spoiler.
