Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman got his heart broken by Bill Belichick this Wednesday.
Edelman, a three-time Super Bowl champion, has been campaigning for Belichick to be a guest on his “Games with Names” podcast.
In a previous episode, Edelman said he’d be disappointed if Belichick went on “The Pat McAfee Show” before stopping by his show.
“I need to get Bill on this dang couch,” Edelman said. “If he does McAfee before he does my show, that would hurt me. Coach, I didn’t take all those team-friendly deals for just nothing.”
Well, Belichick made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” this afternoon.
To make matters worse for Edelman, it was revealed that Belichick will co-host “The Pat McAfee Show Draft Spectacular” next Thursday night on ESPN+.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Belichick said. “Draft day and draft weekend is always an exciting time for everybody – the teams, the fans, everyone involved in it. It’s a great event, and I’m looking forward to seeing it from the other side. It’ll be fun to be with you guys and get your expertise.”
Belichick should make things right and appear on the “Games with Names” podcast this month. We’re just not sure if he’ll carve out time in his schedule to make it happen.
