MIAMI

Originally selected the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL draft at No. 210 overall, the University of Miami product spent the Super Bowl LIII campaign on injured reserve. He was then claimed off waivers by the New York Jets in 2019, and went on to appear in 65 games while there, accruing 1,085 receiving yards, 160 rushing yards, 2,434 return yards and 10 all-purpose touchdowns. Released in 2023, the former first-team All-Pro traveled from the Meadowlands to Miami Gardens. The 29-year-old has appeared in 22 games as a Dolphin, catching 27 passes for 238 yards and one touchdown at wide receiver while adding 197 snaps on special teams.
Jonnu Smith, tight end — Smith returned to the AFC East as a free agent in March. Entering the NFL with the Tennessee Titans at pick No. 100 overall in the 2017 draft, he amassed 114 catches, 1,302 yards, 16 touchdowns and 60 appearances before signing a four-year, $50 million pact in Foxborough. His time under former head coach Bill Belichick ended after 55 catches for 539 yards and one touchdown across 30 games and 19 starts. As legal tampering opened in 2023, the Atlanta Falcons acquired the veteran tight end in exchange for a seventh-round draft choice.
Isaiah Wynn, guard — Designated for return from the physically able to perform list last week, Wynn awaits his 2024 debut. The 28-year-old made seven starts at left guard for Miami last season and did not miss an offensive snap until a quad injury sent him to injured reserve in October. New England filled out Wynn’s draft card at pick No. 23 overall in the 2018 class. The Georgia product started 41 of his 44 games while in Foxborough, splitting time both tackle spots as well as on the interior offensive line. His rookie campaign ended in the preseason with a torn Achilles on the way to earning a Super Bowl LIII ring, and an additional three stops on injured reserve arrived before his fifth-year option was declined by the organization.
Chasen Hines, guard — Hines has spent all of the fall on the Dolphins’ practice squad after being waived, re-signed and waived again leading up to the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline in August. He had spent all of last season on the practice squad, as well, en route to a futures pact. The former LSU national champion entered the league in the sixth round of the 2022 draft and made the active roster as a Patriots rookie. But Hines did not appear in a game before being placed on injured reserve that October. The 24-year-old guard found himself among club’s roster reductions in 2023 before making his way to to the other side of the division as the scout team formed.
William Bradley-King, linebacker — The Dolphins signed Bradley-King to the practice squad after he had been waived by the Patriots as active rosters whittled from 90 to 53 in August. The 26-year-old outside linebacker has continued to reside on the practice squad since then without a standard elevation. Bradley-King had landed at Gillette Stadium for a workout last October and agreed to join the practice squad while there. A futures contract followed. The transfer from Arkansas State to Baylor was chosen by the Washington Commanders in the seventh round of the 2021 class, and went on to appear in four games with the team he was drafted by at No. 240 overall, totaling seven tackles and splitting a sack.
Jake Bailey, punter — A week removed from his Patriots release, Bailey visited and signed with the Dolphins in 2023. The former Stanford specialist appeared in 58 games for the war room that called his name in the fifth round of the 2019 draft. He garnered Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors as an NFL sophomore on the way to signing a four-year, $13.5 million contract extension. But career lows in yards per punt and net yards per punt before were averaged before a back injury sent Bailey to injured reserve and ultimately the suspended list in 2022, leading to a grievance. Since then, the 27-year-old has appeared in 27 games for the Dolphins, averaging an even 46 yards per punt to go with a long of 66. He reached a two-year extension in March.
Tucker Addington, long snapper — After joining Miami’s practice squad as the calendar turned to November, Addington soon served as a standard elevation for back-to-back matchups. Addington previously rejoined the Patriots during training camp and cleared waivers at the 53-man roster deadline. He first joined the practice squad late in the 2022 season after stints in the USFL as well as with the Dallas Cowboys and was soon promoted to the active roster. Undrafted out of Sam Houston State, Addington has also been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Commanders.

His 2024 has included a 94-of-159 passing line for 828 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The 31-year-old quarterback out of North Carolina State has also rushed for 62 yards since returning to his first NFL team after stints in four other clubs. A one-year deal had brought Brissett into Miami’s quarterback room in 2021 under former head coach Brian Flores. He appeared in 11 games that year, starting five in place of Tua Tagovailoa, and completed 62.7 percent of his attempts for 1,283 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions. The Super Bowl LI champion and No. 91 overall pick in the 2017 class also visited the end zone by ground while with the Dolphins.
Braylon Sanders, wide receiver — Before October reached the rearview, the Patriots signed Sanders to the practice squad. The 25-year-old wideout out of Ole Miss entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dolphins in 2022. He spent his initial two seasons on the practice squad in Miami Gardens, serving as a standard elevation for three games as a rookie. Thought games would feature 34 offensive snaps, a fumble and a pair of receptions for 17 yards on the way to inking consecutive futures contracts. Sanders was waived from the organization’s injured reserve with an injury settlement at the start of September. He had been waived with the injury designation in August before going unclaimed and reverting.
Davon Godchaux, defensive tackle — Godchaux appeared in 52 games, including 42 starts, as a member of the Dolphins’ defensive line after getting called in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. The LSU product’s final year with the Dolphins concluded on injured reserve due to a torn bicep. He has started 61 of his 62 games on the interior for the Patriots since then. A two-year, $20.8 million contract extension was agreed upon during training camp in 2022. A two-year extension carrying $16.5 million guaranteed was then reached amid training camp in July. The 30-year-old nose tack’s run with New England has spanned 22- tackles, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery as well as one batted pass.

His rookie training camp was spent with the Dolphins and included an interception at free safety across three appearances in the preseason. Waived in advance of the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline in August, Perry began the regular season on the practice squad of the Houston Texans.
