On top of many of the other things he’s known for, Michael Jordan is a notoriously fierce gambler. One former Patriots player learned that the hard way.
In a recent interview with comedian Bert Kreischer, former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman revealed that prior to Super Bowl XLIX he ran into Jordan as well as Yankees legend Derek Jeter and was pulled to the side by Jordan.
Edelman said that Jordan told him point blank, “Hey kid, I got a bunch of money on you… don’t f-k it up!”
Given what we all learned how competitive Jordan was about gambling during The Last Dance, nobody was at all surprised to learn that he might have done something like that:
Crazy story – #Patriots WR Julian @Edelman11 shares a story about how he ran into Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter a week before the 2014 Super Bowl… after saying Hello, Jordan grabbed Edelman and told him:
“Hey kid, I got a bunch of money on you… don’t f**k it up!”

“Lifetime story right there,” one user replied.
“Ofc Jordan,” wrote another.
“JorGamble,” a third wrote.
Super Bowl XLIX between the Seahawks and Patriots was a pick ’em, so chances are he jumping up and down when he saw Russell Wilson drop back to pass rather than hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch.
