Mike Vrabel had a message for fans after being introduced as the New England Patriots head coach.
Patriots fans have been told to be patient during the ongoing rebuild. Vrabel understands the idea of being patient, but at the same time, he wants to field a team fans can be proud of right out of the gates.
“I understand the idea of being patient, but I want them to be proud of what we’re doing and take ownership of this program,” Vrabel told NBC10’s Nicole Menner. “…Because I believe in the brand of football that we coach, that we teach—the physicality, the toughness, the effort.
“Those things and being able to take advantage of bad football. When you do those right and you have those behaviors, you’re going to get the results that you want. The fans will recognize that. They will see that. They will be proud of what we do on and off the field.”

The Patriots are looking to bounce back from a second straight 4-13 finish to the season.
They’ll enter the offseason with plenty of assets to help in their rebuild. They have the fourth overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft and a projected $130 million in salary cap space during free agency.
The team also has a promising young quarterback to build around with Drake Maye.
Vrabel is the new sheriff in town, and it is clear he is coming into the Patriots organization with a mission to succeed. One has to wonder what the 2025 version of the Patriots will look like and what moves will be made in the offseason.
