The NFL playoff start on Saturday.
While the New England Patriots are in the process of finding their next head coach, the search for the NFL champion is ongoing as well. On Saturday, the next big steps in that process will be taken: the wild card playoff round is about to begin with a pair of AFC matchups.
Here is all the broadcast information as well as things to monitor for Saturday’s action.
4:30 p.m. ET
5 Los Angeles Chargers at 4 Houston Texans: The Texans started the season hot, but they went just 5-6 down the stretch and are entering the playoffs as the lowest-ranked among the AFC’s divisional champions. While that does allow them to host a postseason game, beating what looks like a superior Chargers team will be a tall task. Just look at it from this way: L.A. finished the regular season with a point differential of +101 compared to Houston’s 0. | CBS, Paramount+
8:00 p.m. ET
6 Pittsburgh Steelers at 3 Baltimore Ravens: Third time’s the charm for the Steelers and Ravens. Pittsburgh did win the first of the two divisional games this season, a 18-16 home win in Week 11. Five weeks later, however, MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson and his team were able to get revenge via a lopsided 34-17 victory. Who will emerge victorious on Saturday? The home team Ravens are the clear favorites. | Prime Video
