The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to their seventh straight AFC title game after knocking off the Houston Texans on Saturday. That victory didn’t come without controversy, most notably with the questionable officiating.
It sparked an online debate on whether the Chiefs had surpassed the dynasty New England Patriots as the most hated team in NFL history. The Patriots had a chokehold on the NFL for nearly two decades with six Super Bowl wins.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs have added three more Super Bowls to their collection since Patrick Mahomes has been the quarterback. Social media was flooded over the weekend with fans calling out the officiating for consistently favoring the Chiefs.
Even Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman appeared to be frustrated with the officiating when in the booth commentating during the game.
