Plus, New England’s defense could stifle Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.
The New England Patriots will look to get back in the win column after a loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. They travel to the Meadowlands, where they’ll take on the New York Jets as 6.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel. according to FanDuel Sportsbook
Here are some prop bets that may catch your interest for Sunday afternoon.
Rhamondre Stevenson, Over 64.5 Rushing Yards (-113): The New York Jets have struggled to stop the run early in the 2024 season, allowing 180 yards on the ground to a shorthanded San Francisco 49ers team in Week 1 before surrendering 130 rushing yards to the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.
Ja’Lynn Polk, Over 1.5 Receptions (-198): Jacoby Brissett only targeted wide receivers five times last week, and Polk received three of them with a pair of receptions. He has been open on tape, and I expect the Patriots to continue to try to get him the ball.
Aaron Rodgers, Under 211.5 Rushing Yards (-113): Aaron Rodgers hasn’t surpassed this total in either of his first two games, and I don’t expect that to change against a stout New England defense. The Jets’ passing attack runs through just three players: Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Allen Lazard. The Patriots have the personnel to slow them down and in turn make life difficult for Rodgers.
Longshot of the Week: Pop for the Score
Each week, I’ll pick a bet or two with long odds that I like in this section.
DeMario Douglas, Anytime TD (+650): We got this correct last week with Ja’Lynn Polk getting in the end zone. This week, I’ve got DeMario Douglas getting his first score. The Jets are not afraid to play man coverage, and Douglas is New England’s best receiver in creating separation. The second-year receiver has been open on tape, and I think the Patriots will look to get him the ball after he expressed frustration this week. That results in a score.
