On Wednesday night, Tom Brady was officially inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame. That’s not the only exciting news that Robert Kraft’s franchise had to announce this week.
Kraft announced that No. 12 will never be worn again by a member of the Patriots. That number is being retired in honor of Brady.
Additionally, Kraft revealed that a 12-foot-tall statue of Brady will be placed in front of the team’s Hall of Fame. It’ll be officially unveiled during the 2024 season.
Brady certainly deserves all the love he’s receiving from the Patriots. What he accomplished with that team will most likely never be replicated again in the NFL.
As you’d expect, Brady expressed a ton of gratitude for the Patriots during Wednesday night’s event.
“You humble me. You make me proud, and I am eternally grateful,” Brady said, via WCVB. “I am Tom Brady and I am a Patriot.”
Brady even spent time praising former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
“It wasn’t me. It wasn’t you. It was us,” Brady said. “Let me make it clear. There is no other coach I’d rather play for than Bill Belichick.”
Brady finished his Patriots career with 74,571 passing yards and 541 touchdown passes. Of course, we can’t forget about the six Super Bowl titles he won in New England.
