The New England Patriots might not be playing Mac Jones this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Based on Wednesday’s practice, Bailey Zappe and Malik Cunningham were the only quarterbacks to throw passes with wide receivers and tight ends. Mac Jones, who has been the starter all season, did not throw any passes.

Head coach Bill Belichick may have finally seen enough from Jones as he has continued to struggle this season. He had perhaps his worst game of the season last Sunday against the New York Giants when he only completed 57% of his passes for 89 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.
For the season, Jones is completing just 64.9% of his passes for 2,120 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Things could change later in the week, but right now, it looks like one of Zappe or Cunningham will start on Sunday.
