New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux has been excited to see Christian Barmore return to the field.
The veteran defensive tackle practiced for the first time this season on Thursday, and he’s currently listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s game. Godchaux believes Barmore’s return won’t just uplift the entire defense, but he thinks the return will help improve his game in particular.
Godchaux has recorded 35 tackles on the season and has been an integral part of a banged-up defensive line. When both are healthy, he has been able to form a dynamic duo with Barmore up front.
“Very excited to have another playmaker on the field. Barmore is one-of-a-kind, very good pass-rusher. So glad to have him back in that element,” said Godchaux.
“We can rotate fast and be fresh each and every play. I’m very excited.”

Barmore’s return to the field should elevate the defensive line play. We’ll see how quickly he makes an impact on the unit, and how long it takes him to get back into the swing of things.
