Sunday’s kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET.
The New England Patriots will have added help on both sides of the ball against the Miami Dolphins.
The organization elevated tight end Jack Westover and outside linebacker Keshawn Banks from the practice squad on the eve of Sunday’s AFC East matchup at Hard Rock Stadium.
Westover, 25, awaits his initial NFL snaps after signing to the practice squad in Foxborough as the calendar turned to October. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound undrafted free agent had reached a settlement with the Seattle Seahawks in August on the heels of clearing waivers and reverting to injured reserve. A University of Washington product, he appeared in 52 games and earned an All-Pac-12 honorable mention last fall. The Huskies career spanned 87 receptions for 849 yards and six touchdowns for Westover, who also found the end zone as a rusher.
Banks, 24, previously reverted after serving as a standard elevation last week against the Los Angeles Rams. The 2024 debut brought 18 snaps on special teams for the October arrival on the practice squad. Banks, who visited for a workout in September after stepping into the UFL ranks with the Michigan Panthers, entered the NFL with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2023. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound San Diego State product spent his rookie regular season on the practice squad and debuted in the NFC divisional round last January, seeing two downs on defense and nine downs on special teams.
New England ruled out defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy on the final injury report and listed 10 as questionable, including interior offensive lineman Cole Strange, who will remain on physically unable to perform for Sunday.
Kickoff in Miami Gardens is set for 1 p.m. ET.
