Cleveland Browns All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett formally requested a trade on Monday, and it set off a firestorm of social media reactions from New England Patriots fans.
Sure, the Patriots are smack-dab in the middle of a rebuild after finishing last season with a 4-13 record. But they have Drake Maye at quarterback, Mike Vrabel as the head coach and more cap space than they know what to do with heading into free agency.

The Browns aren’t going to get the kind of haul the Oakland Raiders got in return for Khalil Mack. Garrett is 29 years old, which is two years older than Mack was when he was traded. The Chicago Bears gave up two first-round draft picks, a third-round pick and a sixth-round pick for Mack, a second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick.
