Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins posted a cryptic message on social media Monday.
After playing last season on the franchise tag, Higgins is set to test the free agent market for the first time in his NFL career, and the New England Patriots are expected to be one of many teams vying for his services.
He raised more than a few eyebrows with a post on X with speculation surrounding his future running rampant.
“Ima let yall know first,” Higgins posted.
Is Higgins saying that he’ll be the one releasing the news on his NFL future, or did he mean something else entirely?
You can be the judge on that one.

The Patriots have been connected to Higgins for quite a while now. There was speculation last year that he could go to New England for a high second-round draft pick. New England has needed a No. 1 wide receiver for quite some time now, and Higgins would certainly fit the bill.
The Clemson product has dealt with injuries over the last couple of seasons, but he has still remained productive. He recorded 73 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
To put that number into perspective, the Patriots’ leading receiver was tight end Hunter Henry with 674 yards. The most receiving yards from a wideout last year came from Demario Douglas, who had 621 yards on the season.
Higgins’ injury history could be an issue to keep in mind. He missed five games in each of the last two seasons. However, he’s still a dynamic weapon and arguably the top free agent receiver on the market.
The news regarding Higgins could end up coming straight from the source. Until that happens, all eyes will be on the Patriots to see if they make a move to sign him.
