Patriots vs. Dolphins game picks for NFL Week 12
Oliver Thomas: Tyler Huntley and Jacoby Brissett were under center when these two quarters of the AFC East last crossed paths. October in Foxborough doesn’t hold much weight now. There should be more touchdowns scored in Miami Gardens between Tua Tagovailoa and Drake Maye. And after what transpired in coverage last Sunday against Sean McVay’s Rams, there should be a motivated secondary on the field against Mike McDaniel’s still-in-the-hunt Dolphins. | Patriots 24, Dolphins 20
Brian Hines: Despite matching up better in the secondary against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle then Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, the Patriots defense will be tested by motion again after struggling in that area last week. With a difficult defensive matchup, Drake Maye and Co. might need to eclipse the high 20’s or even 30-point mark — a difficult task for this unit. | Dolphins 30, Patriots 20
Bernd Buchmasser: The Patriots’ game against the Dolphins could very well shape up to be like last week’s contest versus the Rams: a competitive effort, but ultimately one that is decided by who offers the superior firepower on offense. That honor is going to Miami, which is why they are this week’s pick — and would be regardless of where the game was played. | Dolphins 28, Patriots 24
