The second annual team report cards were released by the NFL Players Association this Wednesday. Let’s just say the New England Patriots flunked a few classes.
For starters, the Patriots received an F- in the “Treatment of Families” category. That’s obviously not ideal with free agency around the corner.
The weight room for the Patriots appeared to be an issue as well, which is why it received an F.
Perhaps the biggest problem is that New England’s owner, Robert Kraft, landed one of the worst grades (D+). For years, he was considered one of the top owners in the NFL. Apparently, that’s no longer the case.
As you’d expect, Patriots fans are awfully concerned about the culture in New England.
“Bob Kraft really has been a terrible owner for years,” a Patriots fan wrote on X. “Brady made both him and Bill looks better than they ever were.”
“This was all meany Bill don’t worry I’m sure it will change now,” a second fan said sarcastically.
Speaking of Bill Belichick, he received a B- in this year’s report card. That’s not a bad grade for someone who was shown the door this offseason.
With that said, there’ll be a lot of pressure on first-year head coach Jerod Mayo to “fix” the Patriots. After all, he was named Belichick’s successor because Kraft likes what the former linebacker brings to the table as a leader.
Patriots fans, are you worried about the current state of the franchise?
