The New England Patriots already have problems with an anemic offense and a porous defense. Now, they have issues with injuries.
The Patriots revealed a lengthy injury report ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Several starters didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice, including Kyle Dugger, K.J. Osborn, Jabrill Peppers and Caedan Wallace. David Andrews also wasn’t on the practice field as first-year Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo confirmed the captain will miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury.
The Patriots also had 10 players limited for the practice. Kendrick Bourne, Marte Mapu, Sione Takitaki, who all started the season on the physically unable to perform list, are back in the fold as they they participated in the practice.

The Dolphins are in a similar position to the Patriots when it comes to injuries. Standout linebacker Jaelan Phillips announced Wednesday that he will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury. Quarterback Skylar Thompson went through Wednesday’s walkthrough as he works his way back from a rib injury, but Miami head coach Mike McDaniel already said the plan is to start Tyler Huntley, who was claimed off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad earlier this season, against the Patriots.
