New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye didn’t waste his Pro Bowl trip without at least taking the opportunity to potentially recruit players to Foxborough.
When appearing on “Up & Adams,” the former North Carolina standout claimed he spoke about Boston and the surrounding areas to some of the league’s best players at the Pro Bowl.
“I was definitely getting to know some of the guys, telling them a little bit about Boston, about Foxborough, about Gillette a little bit—some about the fan base,” said Maye. “It’s definitely time to get to know some guys and let them know that the Pats got some things to make some moves this offseason.”
Maye is looking to take the next step in his second year at quarterback, but he’ll need help on both sides of the ball to do it.
The Patriots are entering a crucial offseason with $130 million to spend in free agency and the No. 4 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. Maye was certainly doing his part, as he got to rub elbows with some of the best players in the NFL.
He’s a promising young star for the Patriots, and there’s hope that his presence will be a big reason for the team making it back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2021 season.
