Jacoby Brissett isn’t interested in Tom Brady making another NFL comeback.
On Thursday, Brady revealed that he wouldn’t be opposed to unretiring if the right team called, despite having a color commentary deal with FOX lined up for the next 10 seasons.
Brissett, who is now a quarterback for the Patriots, doesn’t want to see Brady come out of retirement for a second time.
“Nope. Not liking this post,” he said on Instagram.
Brissett is currently the starting quarterback for the Patriots but that might not be the case in a couple of weeks. The Patriots have the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and are expected to take a quarterback with that pick.
They’ll likely get one of Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels depending on who the Washington Commanders select with the second overall pick.
The Patriots haven’t gotten good quarterback play since Brady left after the 2019 season. Cam Newton wasn’t the answer in 202 and Mac Jones didn’t live up to expectations over the following three seasons.
It resulted in him being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Mar. 14.
If they can get the position right, they’ll be back in the playoffs in no time.
