The New England Patriots are continuing to assemble their coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball.
Per Albert Breer, the Patriots are “in talks” with former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo about having him join their staff. If a deal is finalized, he’d probably be an assistant coach and help offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.
The Patriots are in talks to add ex-Giants coach Ben McAdoo to their offensive staff, per sources. He’s likely to play an assistant head coach type of role, and help OC Alex Van Pelt on that side of the ball.

This would be two new hires in less than a week after the Patriots hired Van Pelt to be their new OC a couple of days ago.
McAdoo was most recently the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers during the 2022 season. He only lasted one year after the Panthers let him go in February of last year.
Before that, he was a consultant for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and the quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020.
He’s best known for being the head coach of the Giants from 2016 to 2017 after serving as their offensive coordinator for two seasons (2014 and 2015).
He went 13-15 as head coach before the Giants saw enough and fired him.
