The silver pants are back, this time with the white jerseys
The New England Patriots shared a video of the sights of London to Twitter/X on Saturday morning, showing off some of the views for the team. But eagle-eyed viewers would notice something else in the scenery.
Silver pants.

The Patriots seem prepared to debut a uniform combination not worn since the last millennium: silver helmets, white jerseys, and silver pants.
This combination was worn as the road set from 1993 through 1999 across a couple iterations of uniforms.
Most famously, the Patriots wore the color combination during the team’s second Super Bowl appearance, a 35-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers following the 1996 season.
The team last wore the color combination in December of 1999 in a road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The following year, the team adopted a new uniform with a darker blue, a set that would quickly become synonymous with the dynasty years. The team stuck to two primary combinations: navy over silver at home, white over navy on the road. For two games in 2002, they tried navy over navy at home, but a pair of losses quickly mothballed that combination. White over silver was never tried.
When the team changed uniforms in 2020, the new set included only navy pants to be worn with both navy and white jerseys. That changed in 2022 with the addition of silver pants, but those had been worn just four time since their reintroduction, all with the navy jersey prior to this Sunday.
New England has worn white jerseys with silver pants twice against the Jaguars. Once in December 1997 in a win, once in January 1999 in a playoff loss. Both games featured Jacksonville wearing black helmets, teal jerseys, white pants, and black socks. They’ll be wearing black helmets, pants, and socks to accompany teal jerseys in this season’s meeting.
The Patriots’ Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars will be kicked off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
