Noel projects as a Day 2 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The New England Patriots’ list of reported 30 visits continues to grow. The latest addition is Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel, who is set to visit with the team early next month.
The Patriots are one of four teams bringing Noel in, according to an interview with the Draft Network.
“I’ve had plenty of virtual meetings on Zoom. I have a few in-person visits coming up early in the month of April that I’ll be attending,” he said. “I am visiting with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Carolina Panthers.”
Noel, 22, is entering the draft off a highly-productive career with the Cyclones. Appearing in 51 total games, he was the recipient of 245 passes that he took for 2,855 yards and 18 touchdowns. Posting a 80-1,194-8 stat-line, his 2024 senior season was the best among his four seasons at the college level.
Now heading toward the NFL, he projects as one of the better wide receiver prospects in this year’s draft. His natural athleticism plays a big part in that: one of the top performers at this year’s Scouting Combine, he registered a 9.73 Relative Athletic Score despite standing at only 5-foot-10 and 192 pounds.
The Patriots recently signed Stefon Diggs to serve as a potential inside/out option at the position, but could benefit from more young talent being added to the mix. If drafted in his expected range on Day 2, Noel would compete with DeMario Douglas for the starting slot receiver role
Noel is the Patriots’ sixth reported 30 visit ahead of this year’s draft. They also either hosted or are planning to host offensive tackles Will Campbell and Aireontae Ersery, cornerback Jacob Parrish, linebacker Nick Martin, and running back Dylan Sampson.
